There ain't much around this old neighbourhood
They say it is the bad part of the town
To you it all still looks the same
It's just every where else has changed
You're getting old, the kids have all grown up
You worked so hard to give them a good life
They don't seem to come around that much
No one looks through the window of your shop

And deep down you know soon your time will be up
There be no one around to take care of your shop
They board up the windows and sell whats left of your stuff
They tear down everything your life was made of

You are so proud of what your kids have become
They all got jobs in the fancy part of town
They live in a world you don't understand

For fifty years she was the love of your life
Cancer stole her away before your time
